Back to "The Good Old Days"
Taken during my last summer (1968) at Jacoby’s. I
am seated to the right, with the white hat. The boy holding the basketball
is wearing a skullcap and this would certainly coincide with the shift
to Orthodox renters at that time. In the background is a boy whose parents’
owned the very small colony just down the road from Jacoby’s (?Abrams
colony?). This is not Benny’s – a dairy farm / colony a bit
further down the road. This picture is taken next to the handball court,
in front of the old apple tree (which still stands) in front of the main
house. |
